About the design: Jura is the smallest of the French wine regions located near the Switzerland border. Vin Jaune is a rare, oxidative style wine made with the white varietal Savagnin & produced in a similar way to Fino Sherry (however it is not fortified). It must be aged in barrel for a minimum of 6 years. This rich wine is dry, highly acidic with complex layers of aromas & flavors such as dried fruits, fennel seed, roasted nuts, ginger & even curry or saffron! The five most important grapes of the region are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard & Trousseau.
